Nigel Harrison Artist Biography

Contemporary sculptor

Born Leeton, NSW. Lives and works in Sydney, Australia.

A graduate of Sydney College of the Arts Nigel Harrison has been a practicing artist since the 1980’s. Having begun his career as an assistant sculptor to renowned Australian artist Robert Klippel, Nigel Harrison has continued on to develop his own distinctive and recognizable artistic practice.

With an extensive exhibition history, Nigel has been included in Sculpture by the Sea on more than five occasions and has work in numerous public and private collections including the Campbelltown City Gallery collection and the Royal Blind Society of Australia collection amongst others.

He has been a finalist in the National Sculpture Prize, was the winner of the Sydney Water Prize as part of Sculpture by the Sea in 2001, and was artist-in-residence at Art Omi New York in 2002.
