Luisa Catanzaro
Director

With a background in finance as a Chief Financial Officer, Luisa Catanzaro has been an avid art collector for over twenty years and has been involved in the art industry as both a Museum of Contemporary Art Ambassador and an Art Gallery of New South Wales Benefactor. In 2006, she established Artereal Gallery with the aim of creating a space for contemporary art with a focus on exhibitions with significant international content and heavy curatorial influence.

 

Rhianna Walcott
Gallery Manager

Rhianna Walcott holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Art History and Theory from the University of Sydney and has previously worked with the University of Sydney Art Collection as well various other commercial galleries in Sydney. She is also an emerging arts writer for various contemporary art publications, a founding board member of the Rozelle Contemporary Art Precinct (www.rcap.org.au) and a Museum of Contemporary Art Young Ambassador.

 

Barbara Dowse
Curator

A Fine Arts graduate from the Australian National University, with over 25 years experience in the art industry, Barbara brings to Artereal a wealth of experience from her various past roles with public collections including the Parliament House Art Collection and the National Gallery of Australia and commerical gallery management. Barbara is also an independent curator, art consultant and valuer.

 

Matt Glenn
Project Space Consultant Curator

Matt Glenn graduated from Sydney College of the Arts, The University of Sydney, with a Masters of Visual Arts in 2005. Since that time he has worked as the Gallery Manager for Martin Browne Fine Art and curated a number of exhibitions locally and internationally. Currently based in London, Matt is the Assistant Gallery Manager of the Serpentine Gallery as well as the consultant curator for the Artereal Gallery Project Space. Matt is also a practicing artist and is represented in Sydney by James Dorahy Project Space.

 

Cash Brown
Special Projects

Cash Brown graduated from the National Art School in Sydney and has had her work exhibited in over 130 group and solo exhibitions. Brown has been highly commended in the Doug Moran Portraiture Prize, a finalist in the Sulman and Archibald Salon de Refuses and has works in numerous private and public collections. She has curated many exhibitions in commercial, ARI and regional galleries and has been a steadfast supporter of emerging artists running professional development programs and project managing events such as Art Melbourne and Art Sydney.
